Sugarbush Lodge

5
Glen Ellen Ski Lodge at Sugarbush

The Glen Ellen Lodge in Fayston, VT is conveniently located on the access road to Sugarbush North (Mount Ellen) approximately 500
yards past the Base Lodge parking area. The slopes of the mountain are only 50 feet from the Glen Ellen Lodge and can be reached via a trail through the woods behind the Lodge for true ski in/ski out access. Just slip your skis on at the back door and get out there!  Experience the convenience of stopping by for lunch or a cup of hot cocoa!

Sugarbush North (Mount Ellen) is now connected to Sugarbush mainside by the Slidebrook chair, which at 3.5 miles is the world's longest chairlift.  Or hop in the car to Sugarbush mainside, it's a couple of minute drive.  Drive ten minutes and ski at the world renowned Mad River Glen! Stowe is 30 minutes, Bolton Valley is 45 minutes, Killington and Pico Peak are an hour, and Jay Peak and Smuggler's Notch are within range of an easy day trip.

The Lodge itself has all the conveniences of modern living including Wireless Internet Service. The main entrance to the Lodge is through the lower level which is divided into men's and women's dormitory rooms. This level also contains a bathroom, separate shower facility, and a combination mudroom, workbench, and ski storage area. The second floor houses the kitchen complete with stove, two refrigerators, and a dishwasher. A large fireplace separates the living room and dining room areas, while two doors in the living room provide access to two decks and a BBQ grill. Three bedrooms sleeping two, three, and four, respectively, are also located on the second floor along with a separate bathroom and shower facilities. The lower level has 4 rooms (2 rooms sleep 4 via two bunk beds each, 2 rooms sleep 2 via 2 bunk beds) with shared bathroom and shower room. Total sleeping capacity of the Lodge is 21.

There are many great year-round activities to explore in the Mad River Valley area. The Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory tour seems to be one of the most popular as well as the Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Headquarters and Coffee Museum.  Both are in Waterbury.
